Wanaka Weather
As Lake Wanaka is nestled in the Southern Alps of the South Island of New Zealand the air is very dry so bring your skin care products and particularly sunscreen and sunglasses. The lake is 1100 feet above sea level and in Summer the temperature can vary from 10C to 36C.Spring and Autumn the temperatures can be 0C to 24C on average. If you are an outdoors person bring a warm top a rain jacket and strong walking boots. We are happy to give further advice about essentials for our area, if you are not sure.
